Join us at 7pm MST on March 31st for our free continuing avalanche education webinar. RSVP below!
We’ll discuss various ways to travel safely if you can’t get an avalanche forecast due to the time of year, remote locations etc.
We'll have 1.5 hr webinar on different strategies to handle trip planning when you can't get a forecast. By all means everyone should try to get the forecast for where ever you are traveling, But we all know certain times of the year some forecast centers reduce the frequency of forecasts, and stop at some point for summer. Or maybe you're traveling overseas or simply to a state with lower populations(and hence lower funds for forecasting).
Some of the things we'll discuss:
1. Where to get raw weather and snotel data
2. Strategic Mindsets
3. Canada's "Dangerator"
3. Avalanche Terrain Exposure Scale and how it relates to the above.
Everyone is welcome to this free Webinar, but it's ideally suited for people with a few seasons of experience and at a level 1 course.
